Ownership
Small-scale and cottage industries are usually under private ownership, mainly indigenous Ugandans, while medium and large-scale industries are foreign-dominated or under joint venture between the state and foreigners. It is rather important to note though such joint arrangements may exist, the government of Uganda, today has undertaken the policy of privatization.
